My name is Robert Bicanic Bache. I am educated as a chef and have a great interest in both food and technology. After I had received my certificate of completed apprenticeship in 1998 I have worked in many hotels and restaurants in Oslo. I started studying at the Norwegian School of Information Technology (NITH), part-time evenings, from 2008-2010.

My interest in computers was awakened at the end of the 80s with a Commodore 64. As the years went I freqently upgraded to new and better computers. The interest to learn more about all that regards Information Technology got even stronger after studying part-time at NITH. I decided to become a full-time student at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HIOA) in 2010. I stopped working as a chef and started as a full time student at HIOA. I finished the school with a Bachelor degree in Applied Computer Technology in 2013.

I am currenty working as IVV Engineer at Thales Norway in Oslo, Norway.
I have worked at Thales since july 2013.

I am working with system testing in projects at Thales Norway R&C Dep.

My work tasks: Prepare testbeds, use SW (scripts, config files and applications) and HW (configure routers and devices) to execute tests.
I collaborate with developers and work with test execution. I develop test cases and criteria for each level of testing and acceptance of the system. I make sure guidelines for quality assurance and guidelines for documentation are followed. I write new and update existing tests.
Included in the job is customer contact, travelling and demos.

Thales Norway AS have around 200 employees (Oslo, Kongsvinger, Trondheim, Stavanger and Haslevangen).

I used Active Directory, HP Openview servicedesk, Remote Desktop, VMware and WMware Vsphere, Landesk Managment Suite, knowledge about scripting, Microsoft Office, knowledge about Domain Controllers, Windows XP/Windows 7/CentOS/Ubuntu, Windows terminal, Nagios among other tools to do my work. I also did tasks as setting up a working place, change of components in computers, responsible for printers (mostly Xerox WorkCenter printers), patch network cables, register new employees in the system / deactivate profiles. I also had IT training with new employees.

Closing project at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, Bachelor deegree, was done at Uno-X Automat AS. We created a new solution based on that we had to improve their existing intranet website. This website was used by the employees at Uno-X Automat AS and in use daily.

In the new intranet website we developed our own CMS solution with a lot more functionality that did not exist before. We had focus on using the guidlines in WCAG 2.0 and Universal Design. We had focus on making the new intranet website simple to use for the users and administrator and also more appealing. We used tools as: HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, JQuery and Twitter BootStrap. We completed our Bachelor degree project with the grade A.
