IT consultant | Test Manager | Chef
My name is Robert Bicanic Bache. I am educated as a chef and have worked as a chef for many years. I decided to change my profession some years ago and currently work with my other passion in life - technology. At present time I work with software testing.
I have a great interest in both food and technology.
I started studying at the Norwegian School of Information Technology (NITH), part-time evenings, from 2008-2010.
The interest to learn more about Information Technology increased even more after studying webdesign and programming at NITH. I decided to become a full-time student at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HIOA) in 2010. I stopped working as a professional chef and started as a dedicated full time student at HIOA. I finished the school with a Bachelor degree in Applied Computer Technology in 2013.
I am currenty working as ISTQB certified IT consultant at Acando in Oslo, Norway. I started to work at Acando in january 2017.

Worked at Thales Norway R&D Dep as system tester. In the role as system tester my main focus was to collaborate and work close with the developers. My responsibility was to ensure integrations of new fucttionality through the development increments was tested properly. I validated and verified tests.
My work tasks was:
Prepare test environment, make test scripts, analyze config files, analyze log files and make documentation. I configured routers and switches (mainly Cisco) to execute tests.
I developed test related documentation for each level of testing to acceptance of the system and followed guidelines for quality assurance and documentation with help of Chours 2. I wrote new and updated existing tests cases.
I participated at NTNU Trondheim, "itDAGENE", and NTNU Gjøvk, "Karrieredagen" as representativ from Thales.

Worked at the IT dep. at Thales Noway AS where I primarily helped users at Thales.
Thales Norway AS have around 200 employees (Oslo, Kongsvinger, Trondheim, Stavanger and Haslevangen).
I used Active Directory, HP Openview servicedesk, Remote Desktop, VMware and WMware Vsphere, Landesk Managment Suite, knowledge about scripting, Microsoft Office, knowledge about Domain Controllers, Windows XP/Windows 7/CentOS/Ubuntu, Windows terminal, Nagios among other tools to do my work. I also did tasks as setting up a working place, change of components in computers, responsible for printers (mostly Xerox WorkCenter printers), patch network cables, register new employees in the system / deactivate profiles. I also had IT training with new employees.
Closing project at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, Bachelor deegree, was done at Uno-X Automat AS. We created a new solution based on that we had to improve their existing intranet website. This website was used by the employees at Uno-X Automat AS and in use daily.
